MoonRay will only render MoonRay-specific materials or USDPreviewSurface. The scene is most likely constructed for use with a different renderer, and so MoonRay doesn't know how to interpret the material shaders. USD geometry, and often lights, will generally work across many renderers, but not materials.

Oh yeah I see, that's probably more of a blender issue being unable to convert the slightly more complex materials to the USD preview ones. I guess the ModuleNotFoundErrors are just a red herring in this case. I tried it with a much simpler scene and materials and it came across fine!
