Using the 2019 actuarial valuations for the 5 pension funds that constitute the Illinois Retirement Systems, several analyses will be performed. First is a replication of the actuarial tables to confirm that current expectations of contributions will result in the system being 90 percent by 2045. Second is an attempt at performing a level dollar amortization of the pension systems resulting in at least a 70 percent funded ratio by 2045. Thirdly, a stress testing of what current market losses will do to the primary 2045 expectation at 10-15-20 percent asset losses in the current year (2020).
