Hi!
The middleware only supports central mode for the time being. There are plans to bring peripheral mode some day to all three libraries, but I'm unable to give any timeline for that.

Sorry for the delayed response, I must have ticked off the notification by accident.
We do accept pull requests.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to mix the two modes in one library, since they don't have much in common in terms of use and most use cases for central would not require peripheral, so it would mean importing a lot of dead code. Because of that I was thinking more of a new independent library.
