You'll have to follow the guide in order to use Highway on your project. It's hard to help you more if you don't know much about Javascript because you should have at least good basics of ES6 and ES6 compilation.

Let me provide you some useful sources about those subjects:

• Babel
• Webpack
• ES6 Overview

If you want to use modern Javascript like lot of people are doing now in 2018 those are the required basics in order to move forward and to work with Highway as well unfortunately. You can find an example of how we used it in the source code of Highway's website.
