just for the quick possible solution, have you tried to
$em->clear();
right after movingUp the $model
because it issues a direct update to the database, and any model which is already loaded will not update its values automatically.

Hi, after each operation of the tree, if it relates to reordering, tree node moving or something like that, you need to $em->clear() because listener cannot load all nodes to update its left right values separately, it would take forever :)

by the way, the $em->clear() stuff is not required anymore, except verify function of repository
