@programmerq Thanks for this.
This is actually one of the biggest issues in starting the installer we've had.
Privately I observed 2 people using the installer and failed because of this.

Do you think this will solve the problem:
- Toolbox detects if Virtualbox is running
- If running, prompt the user to "Quit" virtualbox or "cancel install". Quit button would just force quit virtualbox, and cancel install button would just quit the toolbox installer.

It is certainly in improvement. I'm not entirely sure what quitting virtualbox is necessary in the first place-- if it is installed and running, then it shouldn't need to install/update virtualbox, so it seems like the installer should continue to run.
Similarly, I don't need to quit virtualbox to install Chef-DK, or even for vagrant.

Fixed - this will now detect if you have the latest VBox installed and will not install it if so.
For users with old versions of VBox, a more appropriate message was provided.
