The library isn't already supporting datasets with negative values. Will remain as a future improvement. I will keep the issue opened.

I took the Sunday to make some progress on this, just pushed it to dev branch. LineChartView supports now negative values. Let me know if you find issues. I will try to find time to extend it to the remaining charts.
Update: BarChartView negative values support pushed to dev as well
