Sorry Stephen, I’m an id**t. :)
The word “amulet” should had turn on a light. It was a lot of years I didn’t play Hellfire and, somehow, I was convinced it was enough to have it in the inventory to make it work (like some items in Diablo 2).
I’m really sorry to have wasted your time on this, I promise to be more careful next time I find another “bug”. ‘:)

I'm unable to reproduce. Did you equip the amulet before attempting to stack your gold?
