Can't update weather information about meteo-qt HOT 12 CLOSED

I'm about to write the option to add a personal key in case that the common key has over usage. I hope to have the update this week.

The problem is the over usage of the free api
Either the application has "too much" users, either the key is used too many times ...

This is also not working for me across multiple machines on different distributions and architectures. armv7h (arch linux), x86_64 (slackware), x86_64 (virtualbox arch linux).

In 6e00e39 there's a regression similar to #50, that is reproducible crashes and core dumps on new user profiles.
To reproduce make sure meteo-qt isn't running, remove ~/.config/meteo-qt/ if it preexists and launch meteo-qt. Open the settings dialogue and copy an OpenWeatherMap key. Hitting Apply and OK will make meteo-qt crash then.

On a side note the usage of an own OpenWeatherMap key had replaced the 401 error with a 500 HTTP error only here so far. (I cannot test the behaviour right now due to the problem stated above as I don't have a working profile at hand right now.)

@pmattern You have right, i didn't handle the first usage where you cannot find a city if you don't have a key

For the HTTP 500 error the guilty is the xml format which is used in meteo-qt:

I have the same problem here. I'm using the AUR package meteo-qt 0.9.5-1 and the terminal continue to print the lines below

This has reduced the forecast to 4 days since the previous option became paid

Thanks @dglent . Is there a chance to see the new version in the AUR any time soon? Or the update from git is the only solution?
