Cant get it to work about android-vlc-remote HOT 6 CLOSED

I'll probably add some diagnostics tools in a future release.  If you can't 
connect
to http://192.168.1.2:8080 in the browser from your device, it's mostly like a
network/firewall/configuration issue unrelated to the VLC remote app.

i couldnt get it to work either, same error, check the same settings, i have a 
rooted
g1 on jf 1.5 cupcake

you need to check vlc's host file at "C:\Program 
Files\VideoLAN\VLC\http\.hosts" as I
think an upgrade commented out the ~192... addresses and only allows access to
localhost as a default and not the private addresses section which you need to 
access
vlc from your android over the wireless network

Not sure how recent the upgrade was as ive only just upgraded v 0.8.4 to 1.0.1

remember not to open your media to the world and leave the bottom section as it 
is #::/0
#0.0.0.0/0
