This is a rather large product decision for our frontend app. In the short term, if someone wants to implement "click to expand" on posts that bypass the character limit, please go ahead.

I'll take a crack at click-to-expand, but, I know that getting this threshold to break sensibly to fit post formatting can be a bit of a trick!
Also, the only pull I submitted so far was that example and I'm having a noob issue with trying to run the app, @maebeam do you have a recommended set of changes for local dev to stop triggering CORS errors?
