I have no idea, what ISSU/warm-boot support means. It’d be great, if you elaborated.

Do you have more details, how that is implemented by Juniper? From the Web page:

What does “minimal disruption of traffic” mean exactly?
DentOS is Linux based, so kexec works without issues (and is used by ONIE already), so quick reboots should be possible already. The startup process in general would need to be optimized, and warm and cold boots would profit from it.

@paulmenzel while doing kexec, need to keep ASIC still forwarding normally; and, after bootup done, need to make DentOS control-plane recovered.

Sounds complicated. But looks like something to be added to the Linux kernel and ASIC firmware.
