Sorry, I'm not following the issue you are finding with hashdot and arguments? There is a test/test_cmdline.rb that confirms arguments work as expected at least with the provided profiles and jruby. Could you demonstrate the issue you are seeing in a similar fashion as that test case?
Also note that in general hashdot is executed via a symlink named after the profile you want loaded, i.e jruby clj, etc.

Sorry, you're right. Somehow I've thought that env would set argv[0] to be the same as args[0].
