Yes, I think I recently introduced this regression by touching where I'm not supposed to... :S

I revert one change I think is causing the issue, but I can't try because I'm getting another error... Could you try last master? You can set in your Gemfile the following and run bundle install. If you're not using bundler, I'm not sure how to do it in Windows...

Ok, I finally fixed the error I was having and I successfully got byebug working in Windows. I just released 1.6.1 which should work just fine. Please confirm so I can close the issue.

I got bitten by this one too on OSX, but it turned out to be an xcode path issue. For anyone else seeing this issue on a Mac, you can find the solution on Stack Overflow
