Yes there is, but currently only activated for T20. If you have another model, please create a capabilities files for you model

from client.py.

rivendellstuff avatar rivendellstuff commented on September 23, 2024

its this one from Costco which I believe is the T20 but just labeled differently in Canada.
"ECOVACS DEEBOT TEO OMNI"

from client.py.

I cannot verify it from the link above.
Please download the diagnostic information of your device in HA and verify that the device class exists as file here.
If your device class is missing in the folder, than you need to add the capabilities of your bot

from client.py.

rivendellstuff avatar rivendellstuff commented on September 23, 2024

thanks.

I'm quite certain its the same capabilities as the T20. but the model class is: 85nbtp

Which doesnt appear to be in that folder. I dont know how to generate the capabilities file.

deebot-teo-omni.txt

I transferred the issue to the client.py as it belongs here.

Do you have the technicalls skills to manually edit the manifest file?

from client.py.

rivendellstuff avatar rivendellstuff commented on September 23, 2024

possibly.
I guess I can copy this one and see if it just works first and tweak from there

from client.py.

rivendellstuff avatar rivendellstuff commented on September 23, 2024

yeah I guess I donno how to add it. I didnt realize this client repo was different from the Deebot-4-Home-Assistant which is what I have installed in HA.

I looked around but I'm not sure what to do next. The T20 file has the same options my app shows though. This in particular is what I'm after:

I dont mind doing the work if theres ome steps I can follow.

If your bot have the same capabilities as the T20 than create a symbolic link for you class to the t20 class. Create a pull request for it and I'm happy to.merge it

from client.py.

rivendellstuff avatar rivendellstuff commented on September 23, 2024

I tried adding a branch to dev and main. It just says I dont have write access and that I should fork it.

from client.py.

edenhaus avatar edenhaus commented on September 23, 2024

Yes, please fork the repository and make your changes. Afterwards open a pullrequest and I will review it and merge it in

from client.py.

all I did was make the symlink, not sure if theres more updates that need to be done. looksl ike it failed some pipeline checks.

#359

from client.py.

rivendellstuff avatar rivendellstuff commented on September 23, 2024

did I update it incorrectly?
the model I have is: 85nbtp

is that not what needs to be added ? looks like it was changed?

from client.py.

edenhaus avatar edenhaus commented on September 23, 2024

You created a normal text file instead of a symbolic link, which I have corrected.

from client.py.

Oh that's weird... But what I meant was shouldn't the model number be present as a file there? Even if it's just a link to a different file? The model we talked about earlier up didn't seem to get added. I thought that was the goal. Sry if I misunderstood... But nothing has changed for me in home assistant. Seem to have all the same options I had previous, none of the ones I was looking for originally.

from client.py.

edenhaus avatar edenhaus commented on September 23, 2024

I didn't release any new version yet but the PR is merged

from client.py.
