Some Wordpress plugins set PDF to be transferred as gzip. This causes the PDF to be loaded with full size.

WP-Rocket Plugin..
Solution:
adding PDF file extension to non gzip list. (mp3|**pdf|**avi) You can find this somewhere in the htaccess file.# Don’t compress images and other uncompressible content SetEnvIfNoCase Request_URI \ \.(?:gif|jpe?g|png|rar|zip|exe|flv|mov|wma|mp3|pdf|avi|swf|mp?g)$ no-gzip dont-vary </IfModule> </IfModule>
As of now, Plugins like W3 Total Cache are working fine.
