Hi,

I'm very sorry about the (very) late reply but Gmail didn't notified me about a new issue.

At first look it appears to be an incompatibility between Bitlocker and VMUB.

My computer has Windows 8.1 and Linux. I can't install Windows 10 right now (multiple reasons) but I'll
do it as soon as possible.
Oh, btw, you probably know Windows 10 is still in Beta development stage. And the paying users are Beta testers.
That's one of the reasons I mentioned...

I'll test with Windows 8.1 asap.

Hi,

What do you mean about "Windows 10 is still in Beta development stage"?
VirtualBox support it, are you refering to VMUB?

Best Regards

It's somehow a joke.
Microsoft is still experimenting different apps/configurations but most of the times is not informing the users (who payed for a stable and fast OS).

You didn't mention but I think you might already know about the issues with BitLocker and TPM in a VM...

I need a little more info (so I can reproduce the problem): which application have you used to format and create the file system on the USB drives (and the steps, if they are not the default)?
The 2 USB drives are "seen" by the host OS as removable or as fixed drives?

Hi,

This usb key was already installed with two partition/drives: EFI (FAT32 no password) +Bitlocker (NTFS with password).
Before first VMUB, typing Bitlocker password the disk content was visibile.
Now after running VMUB, typing Bitlocker password, the disk content is not visibile having "The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable" and the file system became "Unknown"
DISKPART> list volume

Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info

Volume 0 System Rese NTFS Partition 1024 MB Healthy System
Volume 1 C NTFS Partition 150 GB Healthy Boot
Volume 2 D Data NTFS Partition 325 GB Healthy
Volume 3 F BITLOCKER FAT32 Partition 350 MB Healthy
Volume 4 G Unkno Partition 59 GB Healthy

Best Regards

"This usb key was already installed with two partition/drives" >> but HOW was/were installed (that was my first question).
What are the steps to get from an empty USB drive to an USB drive with the same content as yours.
I ask because I want to do the same on my drive and then begin testing.

Can you please help me with this...?
Thank you.

Any thoughts about this: #5 (comment)
You said nothing when I mentioned it...

Hi,
"This usb key was already installed with two partition/drives">> IT department create it, I would say base on windows install. I can olny request a new one now.

I did not mentioned just because it absolutelly works fine.
Before testing VMUB I normally used a VM with "Enable EFI " + "USB Device Filter"

I opened this thread just to leave my experience.

Best Regards
