There are bulk updates in DM, eg:

Customer.all(:active => false).update!(:active => true)

This will perform one SQL query that targets only the rows where the customer is not active, and sets them to be active.

Can you describe more specifically what you're doing, perhaps supply a link to a gist with a simplified example?

Heres something ive tried the first one works but is slow and the second one is so slow im not sure it works even. Theres maybe about 50000 inserts so maybe that just is too much.
