So far I just checked the errors in box filter. There it's clear, the MIN MAX macros should be replaced by specific functions like fminf in omp reduction code.

Just took a quick look at box_filters.c and gamma.c. For box_filters, I'm not sure it actually makes any sense to have a reduction without a parallel directive... (clang has always been more verbose about warning of optimization failures).

In the case of gamma.c, we have "parallel for simd" on loops with fairly large (after inlining) bodies, where I can see the optimizer just giving up. Worth trying "schedule(simd:static)" on those.
