@amanbha you can use System.Text.Json in netstandard2.0 as well. You can target both netcoreapp3.0 and ns2.0 and avoid the dependency in the 3.0 case. You may want to provide serializer extensiblity in general though...

We are in process of moving to build only for .netcore 3.0(#15), so opened this work item to move to use System.Text.Json after the move to avoid external pkg dependency.
