Cool idea. Have you got an idea of what the output should look like? For example what header style to use for tags, how to lay out the commits (any way to make it look tabular in markdown?). Also it will be able to render links.

Its on the way. With your existing renderers it was easy to write a new one for markdown. I only want to write some more unit tests.
