This would be nice. We should be able to find some reasonable UI for it. We can control individual pixels on the LED matrix. I should, I hope, be able to find out the current voltage from the battery fairly easily but I'm not sure how to translate that to battery life. Would showing the voltage be a useful interim option?

yeah, percentage of expected highest voltage, just round to the nearest
percent and people will figure it out. If it doesn't charge all the way up,
people know their battery is getting old :-)
