Hi @jlloyd-widen, thanks for flagging this. The solution you arrived at is reasonable and won't cause you any issues going forward. This issue will be addressed more completely via: #21714

I discovered a way to resolve this by getting into the backend database. After looking at the code I noticed that the offending configuration was found in the daemon cursor which is found in the kvs table: key = ASSET_DAEMON_CURSOR. The value had the offending key. I had to delete the key value pair in the value field. Once submitted, the error disappeared.
It's kind of a dangerous solution, I'm sure, but it worked.
