Thanks a lot for reporting this. I don't have a HiDPI display to test this myself. Do you have other issues with HiDPI? Does the symbols sidebar on the left work ok?

Those are blurred too

The preview should now be fixed. Fixing the sidebar unfortunately will be rather complicated. I will make a new issue for it but it might be a while before I can work on it.

The preview is currently blurry on HiDPI, so I think this issue needs to be reopened:

I don't think you need a HiDPI display, just set the scale to 200% on your existing display.

Is the sidebar blurry too? I can't reproduce this, preview is hidpi in my test environment.

The sidebar is fine.

I have nearly the same environment : F34, Wayland, HiDPI but I use instead the Fedora package (it shouldn't make any difference).

And it isn't blurry for me ? Weird...

@YaLTeR can you check if the icons in the build log have the correct size / are blurry?

Does not happen with the Flatpak version either.

Everything else seems fine:

I find the zoom percentage on the preview quite odd to what it should be? What are the dimensions of your screens, and what is your screen scale percentage?

from setzer.

YaLTeR avatar YaLTeR commented on June 25, 2024

3840×2160, 200%

YaLTeR avatar YaLTeR commented on June 25, 2024

FWIW I currently do not have scale-monitor-framebuffer experimental option in Mutter enabled (so I have the default behavior), but that shouldn't affect Wayland windows.

@LyesSaadi do you get the blurry preview with the flatpak?

@LyesSaadi do you get the blurry preview with the flatpak?

No, I don't.

Here is my screen size: 2880x1800 & 200%.

YaLTeR avatar YaLTeR commented on June 25, 2024

Ah, since percentage depends on the actual screen size probably, my screen is a 27” 4K and it's reported as 600×340 mm. I have another screen to the side which is also 27” but 2560×1440 and at 100% scaling. Setzer is on the main screen.

I think this should be solved by the latest commit. If not, let know.
