It seems like you might have some outdated versions of the deps? First pull my newest commit (I did have to make some compat changes recently).
Then, make sure you have the newest rust nightly:
curl -s https://static.rust-lang.org/rustup.sh | sudo sh
Then run
cargo clean && cargo update && cargo build --release
from rust-doom.

I'm going to close this, for lack of activity in two weeks; probably transient issue with changing compiler versions.
