Flagging that I've made some progress on this (on the Maps API end)
from covid-maps.
This is for the use case when the user clicks on the map on the home screen
We should replace the View on Google Maps CTA by the 'Add' workflow - which basically lands the user on the /update page with the store information pre-filled
If its not possible to replace the Maps CTA, then we could try adding another CTA below it, as long as visually clear and clean.

I'd be up for trying my hand at this. Is it enough to just say this here, or should I do something else to start contributing to this (awesome) project? I don't want to just unilaterally assign myself to an issue without asking.

Thanks for writing in, @tog22! This sounds great. Please feel free to ping/tag me if you're stuck anywhere and need help :)

I've been researching how to change this in the Maps API and have not yet found any indication that you actually can. I'm far from having pinned that down, but I just wanted to check whether there's any indication (needn't be definitive) that the contents of this popup is customizable, rather than being provided "as is" by GMaps?

Thanks @tog22. I was going through the docs of the google maps component we use. Couldn't find anything definitive that would work here, but it might be worth trying these
- onClick handler on the GoogleMap component
- events on InfoBoxComponent
- events on InfoWindow

Thanks for the pointers, will take a look
