Am i correct in assuming that this needs to apply to criteria.md as well as the App? If so you can assign this to me to look after the criteria.md.

Yes, it would apply to both cases. I think at least for now, it was best to find a different word for recommended. Perhaps "suggested" is a good word.

Currently we have 3 levels: MUST (NOT), SHOULD, and RECOMMENDED. Problem is, normal IETF nomenclature is SHOULD=RECOMMENDED. So let's reword everything RECOMMENDED into SUGGESTED.
Altonius: I appreciate the offer, but this one's an easy substitution, so I'll just do it. Save your energy for other things...!
