Tell me more. Do you mean changing the min/max settings on the pool at
runtime? Within the min/max bounds the number of resources in the pool
will grow/shrink based on usage patterns.

Yes, i mean growing it beyond the max bounds. And/Or maybe if it was possible to create a new resource on the fly that is not limited by the max bounds.

Also it would be nice to be able to destroy resources in addition to releasing it.

And also if you are using it to pool network resources maybe there should be the possiblity to handle when it looses connection. i.e emits an error

pool.raiseError(resource, err) and/or check if the resource emits events and listen to error events internally
