Done. May or may not run (I don't currently have MATLAB installed so can't check).
The relevant file for timing comparisons is test_driven_development/legacy_m_code/simple_example.m.
There are also some relevant examples in drone3.m and big example.m. These utilize the concept of 'flight conditions' -- really, just vector variables, but with names that allow convenient indexing and table output. I don't think the way I did it is quite right, but looking at the code could inspire both use cases and implementation ideas.
