Seems to happen on my M1 Macbook. Wonder if this generally the case for Apple devices.

This doesn't appear to be a real issue, at least the one with the SE in Chrome. React-player is identifying it as iOS, which doesn't support hls.js and instead uses its own HLS player, which Chrome doesn't have. So this particular case is an issue with Chrome faking Safari.

Not from me. I think you ID'd a deficiency in my test and how it's not realistic.
