I've seen it also on the website, here on the README is

KBpedia, [...], includes 55,000 reference concepts, about 30 million entities, and 5,000 relations and properties [...]

I think it could help to clearly distinguish between what it includes what it can be de-referenced to in other KGs.

To be perfectly clear, I see that KBpedia actually includes references to real entities (e.g., Barack Obama) so this is why I though that maybe my import was partial.

Hi,

I think your counts look about right, though I do not have that file currently loaded on my local machine. The key point, however, is in relation to the 30 M items. KBpedia links to these items through the Q items on Wikidata. Those mappings are shown in the KBpedia linkages directory here on GitHub, as well as can be seen by the Entities browse on the KBpedia knowledge graph. Here is an example for Automobile: http://kbpedia.org/entity/browse/?class=http://kbpedia.org/kko/rc/Automobile&offset=0 (this shows DBpedia URIs)

We chose not to reproduce Wikidata ourselves in the KBpedia distribution, since it is simple to get the Q items directly from the main Wikidata site (https://www.wikidata.org) or from the Wikidata SPARQL endpoint (https://query.wikidata.org). The actual count of mapped Q items is 32 M for KBpedia v 200.

Thanks for the reply,
so, if I understand this correctly, the point would be to query Wikidata for instances of classes by following the owl:equivalentClass in the linkage directory?

Ok I see, this 30M sentence in the readme was really misleading me.
Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks a lot.
Do you have somewhere the query I could use to reproduce the actual count of mapped Q items
(the 32M number)
Thanks
