If I had to choose one, I'd rather go with adding has_key? to attributes than disable building it (I have some plans regarding this: using custom classes to build resources, etc). There's also the option of using the Hashie gem, but I'm not 100% on it.

@rehevkor5 @oriolgual I'm also not sold on the Hashie gem approach, and much less on extending Hash.
