Hello!

I had some issues too. I think mine was because I used the --force in the command line in order to install NPM. I did this so I could work on this project locally on my computer. On Netlify, a user gave some great advice, which worked for me. It appears to relate to "environment variables". There are two ways you can go about this

  1. While deploying your build on Netlify, you can input some additional details by clicking the "show advanced" button. I've attached some photos:

  1. In case you already deployed your site and would like to use the "failed deploy", you can still modify the settings:

step 1
step2
step3
step4
step5

If your issue is based on using --force while installing NPM on the command line, I think this should do the trick.

Here is the original source I found the tips to navigate through these issues. Also, here is more info on Environment Variables. This article on Environment Variables may mention something about "This feature may not be available on all plans"... don't worry, I have a free account and you can still modify the variables.

Good luck and I hope this will work for you!
