@nielspardon thank you for reporting this, we will look into this right away!

For some additional details, we have seen the oclif dep issue before but it has not been breaking the tool from normal execution (although we are still trying to resolve it as the error message is ugly). I am however concerned regarding this line

✖ Manager failed to install provider plugin for aws
✖ Error: provider aws module check FAILED, unable to find plugin

I just tried on a fresh install of CloudGraph and did not get this error.

Would you mind running this command and sharing the output with us?
CG_DEBUG=5 cg init aws

from cli.

@nielspardon as a small aside, I have fixed the issue with the error text seen above. If you update CloudGraph to the latest version 0.15.5 using npm install -g @cloudgraph/cli. You should no longer see this error running cg update

from cli.

Thanks, I can confirm the require stack is gone now.

There's another issue with the AWS provider installation failing here which I still have with 0.15.5. Would you want me to create a separate issue for that?

@nielspardon that would be wonderful, please!

@nielspardon if you can run the init command in Debug mode, it would help us a lot in determining the issue with installing the AWS provider. The command is CG_DEBUG=5 cg init. If you could run that and post the output, we would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Yes, will do.

Turns out the other issue I had was the usual issue with global NPM packages on macOS / Linux:
https://docs.npmjs.com/resolving-eacces-permissions-errors-when-installing-packages-globally

Maybe something worth adding to the common errors section of the README.

Hmm yes thats a good idea, I will make sure that gets added. Thank you!
