is there a performance test of riak cs? the read/write speed is very low in my test! about cf-riak-cs-release HOT 5 CLOSED

Hello, our goal is to eventually support use of the Riak CS service for cf-release. However, we have not had a chance to do any benchmark testing or performance tuning.

You mentioned

This would indicate that Riak CS was faster than NFS. Maybe you meant the reverse?

@shalako i am so sorry i make a mistake, this is the right test performance.
a 475M file write to riak cs need 1m53.915s but 0m9.042s in nfs server. riak cs is very slow compare to nfs server. i have saw that cloud foundry use riak cs as a cloud controller blobstore, to solve the problem of distributed of cloud controller blobstore. if the read/write speed is so low, why you are continue to use riak cs?

Cloud controller does not use Riak CS for a blobstore yet. Initially we plan to introduce Riak CS as a blobstore for a buildpack caching service. Later, when we've improved performance, we hope to use it for cloud controller.

We have not done any performance analysis of the Riak CS release; we plan to eventually, but currently we are focussed on making the MySQL release highly available.

If using Riak CS as a blobstore for cloud controller is important to you, please tell me more about the pain NFS is causing and solutions you are considering.

Also, if you have the resources to investigate, we would very much appreciate a contribution from the community to improve the performance of the Riak CS release. If you are interested in doing this, please let me know before you do the work, so we can set expectations and scope the project.
