Good point - in TP3, everything is a Traversal
- technically even g.v(1)
even though it just returns a single Vertex. The default implementation there is to simply issue: g.V().has(T.id,1).next()
, hence the potential exception. I think i'd rather drop the nil
myself to stay more true to the TP3 approach. Not sure how others feel about it.

For me ideally, not found would behave the same as if you'd do:
g.v(1).out().has("idontexist").both()...
that is return a Traversal over nothing, which is also closest to what would happen in clj-land if you go (->> filter map ...) where filter returns ().

I don' think this issue is relevant anymore given the changes that have occurred on Ogre in the master branch to get it working with TinkerPop 3.1.2-incubating.
