Install question for emacs first-timer about clojure-mode HOT 2 CLOSED

I happened to need to start with a fresh emacs today. I moved aside my ~/.emacs.d directory (and had no .emacs file) and followed the instructions in the README to enable the marmalade archive. I was able to install clojure-mode interactively from the package-list-packages list. I just tried "M-x package-install clojure-mode" as well and it worked.

I just downloaded Emacs 24.2. Created an init.el with this in it:

(require 'package)
(add-to-list 'package-archives
             '("marmalade" . "http://marmalade-repo.org/packages/"))
(package-initialize)

"M-x package-instal clojure-mode" did not finding the package. I had to do "M-x package-refresh-contents", wait for it to finish, and then I was able to install clojure-mode.
