More Scene Exceptions about nzbtomedia HOT 3 CLOSED

season packs would be easy... get the Season from the directory and the episode number from the file...
Absolute numbering will be problematic... fixing this requires calling an external database (theTVdb.com etc) and trying to match the season numbers to absolute numbers etc.

Last I knew there was a specific branch of SickBeard for anime, as regular SickBeard doesn't handling this too well.

I am happy to try and help by putting in more scene exceptions, but I don't want to try and replicate SickBeard's algorithms when some of these things should actually be changed in SickBeard...

i.e. we can fix provider specific stuff (like Q o Q using reversed names) but trying to identify the correct name against a database is probably going too far (IMHO)

Is this still something we are looking to try and add for release 7.0?

For now I am setting this to 8.0... I think enough has been done in 7.o to warrant getting this merged again soon.

As I see, this is generally going to be an on-going issue as new exceptions arise...

Obviously thinks like absolute numbering we know about,... A possible way to deal with this might be to compare the absolute number against the seaseon/eppisode numbers available in SickBeard (can we get this via api?)
If possible, this would save needing to get external data...

I have added scene exceptions for groups that use "garbage" filenames and better reverse filename checking...

closing this one as this really becomes an "as needed" enhancement.
