Would you have an example because it's not 100% clear to me what your issue actually is ?
Currently, as externs, Express extends Connect, which is not ideal nor 100% true from a js pov, but makes some sense.
In reality (in js), Express depends on Connect but doesn't strictly "extend" it...
As for your second issue, the extern assumes Express is what you call "ExpressServer" (or express.Application).
So you should use "new Express()" to create an express app.
Now if you need to access to, say, express.cookieParser, I've indeed made the choice to let these middlewares in js.npm.connect, like js.npm.connect.CookieParser...
In reality, they are the same middlewares, but express "copies" references to them so they are available in the global express object as well as in connect.*.
In Haxe, and IMHO this kind of hack doesn't really make sense...
But maybe I didn't understand fully what you're asking.
To which 'function' are you referring ? 'listen' ?
