Why are you trying to attach an event to the trigger? You should probably go through the API instead. Can you use the open
event to do what you need?

Thanks for the response. I am actually not doing any customization. I am just merely pointing out that there seems to be functionality of the plugin that is working in some browsers and not others. Specifically, when clicking on the swatch icon the color picker does not open in IE7-8 while it does in all other browsers. This creates an inconsistent user experience between browsers.
I was just digging into the code and saw that you are binding the onClick event to that selector and for some reason it is not working. Sorry I don't have a solution for you at this time.

Works for me, and there have been no other reports of this behavior.

Maybe your site isn't rendering in standards mode. What's your doctype?
from jquery-minicolors.
You are correct. When I try your test page it works fine for us. There must be something about our implementation that is causing the issue. After looking again it is only happening in IE8. The doctype is HTML. Not sure what the issue could be. There are no JavaScript errors on the page and the HTML is valid. Thanks for you help and sorry for jumping to the conclusion that there was an issue with the plugin.
