+1 on integration (or at least linking) from the Heroku internal talk I gave today.

@fusion94 did you say you had a contact at http://osuosl.org about this?

This would be awesome! I'd really like to start using this. Am a bit discouraged by the lack of activity over the last months... do you have a any example projects that are using this, so I can see whether there is an AUTHORS file or something that lists all the people that have signed the CLA?

👍 on this issue,

for my MIT licensed project I want to either have a simple CLA or a DCO that is ideally one paged.

I have looked around and I cannot find anything simple that I can use as a CLA, the harmony agreement page is a good start but I feel that it doesn't explain the configurable options well. For example with CLA hub how would one host both the individual and corporate CLAs?

The thing I would love to find is something like choosealicense.com but for CLAs. The example CLAs in the wiki for the first few I clicked are really for big corporate projects and although IANAL I doubt the CLA for an Apache 2.0 project would match that of a MIT licensed project. Maybe it would be good to expand the wiki to have example CLAs paired with project license types.

The DCO is incredibly simple and basically appears to satisfy my needs but it appears that CLAhub doesn't provide that as an option. Also as I understand it DCOs may not be fully equivalent to CLAs making me a little hesitant to adopt a DCO. And if I did use a DCO I am not sure how CLAhub would help me.

Any tips to keep things simple and clear would help me a lot.

FYI the Harvard Law School Cyberlaw Clinic is looking into this right now. Hoping to make some resources available after they've been appropriately researched.

FYI in ended up opening a github organisation for our project and added a github repo with the CLA. Then I made everyone who contributes first provide a pull request with their name on it to that CLA repo, which covers all the other repos. Once accepted, all their PRs can be accepted anywhere on the other repos. This seemed the easiest approach to me.
