RIght now, it doesn't even install on my system. I think there is a typo in the gsettings code.

During install Im getting:
No such key 'custom-keybindings'

Gah, I thought that block looked dubious. I'm going to have to get Ubuntu 12.04 on a virt so I can start testing this stuff instead of bugging you. Any ideas?

Well, on my system I have gsettings and gconftool. I don't know how to use gsettings, so I have no idea if he did it right or wrong. I personally think the code makes some poor assumptions. But I need to play with it to figure it out.

Yeah, I'm going to temporarily disable that part just in case. Even though it seems like it's just throwing an error, I don't want to overwrite anyones system config unexpectedly.

Right, got it, disabled.

The code seems ok actually. But dconf should be the fallback. Systems like 12.04 and elementaryOS don't support keybindings from dconf.

Really? Even that line in particular?
