Does it happen for every scene you render? I have Windows 7 too, but never seen this.
What happens if you drag the borders of the preview window to resize it manually?

This may be a similar issue to #241, but that happens during rendering while this is the preview.
I don't have problems with the render preview in the current version, stable or development. It may have been inadvertently fixed.
