Software Engineer @ Beyond Essential (September 2021 - Present)

Worked in a 20 person engineering team primarily on Tupaia, an open source data collection, reporting and visualisation web platform for health organisations in low-income settings.

  • Programmed across mono repository, including micro-services, orchestration servers and three front-end packages
  • Worked with both Redux and React Query (ie Tan Query)
  • Managed changes to external REST api service integration
  • Managed releases on rotation
  • Wrote and maintained developer documentation
  • Technologies used: React, TypeScript, Postgres, SQL, Jest, Chai, HTML, CSS, material-ui, Storybook, expressjs, knex
  • Platforms used: AWS (including console, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda), Github, Linear
