Not sure what you mean by the "born" event, but correct me if I'm wrong, you need the timeline to start from a date point without an event?

I took another look at the code and I was misunderstanding how it worked. Forget the "born event" stuff. Essentially, I am looking for the timeline to correctly render the year backdrop for future dates. Currently, if I have events in 2015 or 2016, the timeline backdrop stops at the beginning of 2014. It should stop at latest year in my event list.
Since I've managed to confuse both you and me, I will close this issue and re-open a clearer one.
