Firstly thank you.
As for your question, sorry but it is not possible. There are actually three layers in SegmentedButton. Two of them is for actual background and one is for selector. If those two's backgrounds are made transparent, selector's color becomes the only visible one and makes the whole group to its color. I should have added this info in 'readme' file, sorry for that. I will add it right away.
