How do you run the install? I tried make install and I do not have a pvpgn folder in /usr/local.

I still don't understand what duplicate files you get. I installed now to /usr/local/pvpgn and everything seems fine. There is sbin, bin, etc and var folder and inside all the necessary stuff, no duplicates.
