Hi everyone,
Coincidently, @fmikaelian and I just discussed this a few hours ago.
Unfortunately, I got involved in other projects at the beginning of the year and recently started a full-time job where it's not that easy to get approval to work on open-source projects that might compete with the company's products and services.
@fmikaelian also has been very busy with his full-time job responsibilities.
We decided we are not going to maintain this repository anymore and will update the readme accordingly.
For those still interested in maintaining and developing another version of this repository, please feel free to fork it and tell us so that we can point to the forked repository in our readme.
Thanks @tholor for providing an alternative solution as well, we will make sure to include it in our readme so that people can be addressed to an actively maintained repository.

If you are looking for an actively maintained alternative, maybe haystack is an option for you. We'd love to welcome you in our community ❤️
I think @andrelmfarias did an awesome job building cdQA, but at some point it just becomes very difficult to maintain open-source projects, if it's not your full-time job.
Disclaimer: I am one of the maintainers of haystack

I would also like to know this. I'm currently using this project for doing some research, and may end up using it more seriously, however there are currently there is a need for some patching up. I wouldn't mind making some pull requests to do some bug fixes that I've made on my own, but only if this project isn't dead...

@tholor I updated the README with a ⛔ [NOT MAINTAINED] message and mentionned your repository as an alternative in #363
Wishing you the best to continue the open-source question-answering adventure! 👍
