Can you test whether the crash is reproducible in 1.5.2 and 1.7.0, as well as

which the 1.6.x versions are based on?

Updated to 1.7.0 and the crashes were fixed. Was not reproducible in 1.5.2 either. Tried the 1.5.1 that you linked in Chromium, and JSON seemed to be completely broken, as neither the index nor catalog show up. With it disabled, quick reply would not autohide, and custom navigation (g-catalog) was still broken. Tested on Chromium 33.X with all other extensions disabled.

On Firefox for the 1.5.1, JSON works and search works without crashes, but quick reply does not autohide and custom navigation (g-catalog) is still broken. Tested on Firefox 28 with all other extensions disabled.

Other than that, JSON stopped working when going from 1.6.X to 1.7.0 in Chromium, but no crashes. JSON has always worked on Firefox though. Thanks for the updates!
