I am not an official maintainer of this project, however, we are using it within our company and are also going to contribute to it when need be. Casbin itself is used by a notable amount of important companies / partners and this is more of a small side "branch" providing an easy-to-access gRPC API. Correct me if I'm wrong @hsluoyz .

Yes. This project is still alive. If you encounter any issues, please raise it.
We also have some developers working on Casbin dashboard right now: https://github.com/casbin/casbin-dashboard . It provides a UI to manage policies. They can integrate together.
